Greetings Northwoods Coalition,


Registration is available for the four-day Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) that will take place in Eau Claire from July 31 – August 3, 2017.


SAPST is designed for individuals to receive 31 of the 40 hours needed to apply as a Prevention Specialist in Training, to learn more about substance abuse prevention practices, and the implementation of SAMSHA’s Strategic Prevention Framework. The four-day event will be facilitated by Kathy Asper, PS, Manager of Prevention Services, Arbor Place, Inc., Lil Pinero, PS-IT, Coalition and Grant Coordinator, Burnett County Prevention Coalition and Sarah Turner, PS, Barron County Community Coalition.


Registration to attend the four day training is $80.00. A block of rooms have been reserved at the rate of $82 per night under “Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training” at the Holiday Inn South (4751 Owen Ayres Court, Eau Claire, WI 54701).


This training is limited to the first 20 individuals, with priority given to those who reside or work in Ashland, Douglas, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Menominee, Oneida or Vilas counties, who should be registered no later than July 21. Please refer to the attached flyer for more details.
